I'm mostly concerned about what will happen when someone brings in a paper on something I'm completely unfamiliar with. I could accidentally shift into a sort of editor mode, as Brooks talks about, and I'm not sure if I could really provide the tutee with any solid ideas about where to take the paper, since I wouldn't even really know where it was going. I think that, by observing and co-tutoring in the next few weeks, I'll learn what to do when I have no prior knowledge about the paper's subject matter.
Another concern is just the sheer amount of things to remember. Brooks' body language section seemed especially daunting, and though I suppose it'll seem more natural once I'm in the saddle, I know I'll be apprehensive and jittery at first.
